Student VoicesâSince 1991,Student Voices has prepared peer leaders through a training that helps students probe their own backgrounds, while getting to know and appreciate the cultures and experiences of their classmates.
MetroTown – MetroTown, an intensive, experiential leadership experience, brings youth from different neighborhoods in Dade County together for one week each summer.
Diversity and Cultural Inclusion Clubs -This school-based leadership program provides high school students with civic engagement and census-building skills, while focusing on a social issue of importance to their school.
Staff Development – MCCJ trains counselors and teachers who sponsor each of our school programs, and also provides custom-designed programs to school faculty and staff, including training in intercultural competency and best-practice inclusion and tolerance pedegogy.
